Arenas

Arena 1

Close Quarters Battleground, or CQB - Almost one acre in size, this arena's town like layout is great for fast paced gameplay and intense urban tactics. The battlefield is continuously monitored by our webcam system which serves both as a security monitor and a safe way for parents or non-participants to watch the gameplay live.

Arena One

Arena 2

No Man's Land - With its long snaky front lines and cover littered center, this arena simulates long range trench style combat without the trenches.

Arena Two

Arena 3

Under Construction

The Mount - This 3 acre arena is currently being planned. A bunker-style firing base sits atop a hill, from the plains below your team must take the high-ground from the defenders. With nothing but ruined walls and tall grass between you and their sights, test your skills and take "The Mount".

Combined Arenas

Coming When All 3 Arenas are Completed

Various arranged game types combining all three arena's, including milsims, multi team free for all, and large-team commander-led command and conquer!

What is Airsoft?

Similar to Paintball, Airsoft is a team-building sport where participants use replica firearms shooting 6mm or 8mm plastic "BB" rounds and typically wear replica military gear and/or team uniforms. Besides being a great sport, Airsoft encourages honor, teamwork, and leadership skill building. Airsoft weapons, easily recognizable by their federally mandated fluorescent orange muzzles, use springs, gas, or batteries in their operation.

Two people playing airsoft

History

Airsoft had its beginnings in Japan during the late 1970s when it was made illegal to own firearms. However, there was still a large interest in them so manufacturers started to produce spring-powered replicas of real guns. These guns fired several calibers of plastic or rubber BBs, but were eventually standardized into 6mm and 8mm sizes. These early spring powered weapons morphed into gas and battery powered ones. The introduction of the AEG (Airsoft Electric Gun) changed everything, bringing semi to fully automatic battery-powered rifles. These realistic weapons provided combat simulations that required relatively little preparation for several hours of entertainment. The sport quickly began to spread and is today found throughout the world, especially in Europe and North America.

Airsoft Today

With an almost unlimited array of weapons and scenarios, most participants tend to structure games in rounds or matches which involve anything from reenactments of historical battles to simple "capture the flag". Just like the popular sport of paintball, Airsoft usually involves one team playing against another team very much like football or soccer. Learn more about the rules and regulations of play here. While the guns and rifles that are employed as part of the sport are very similar to the real thing, they are configured to shoot small Airsoft pellets that will bounce off the individual. Thus, the sport of Airsoft relies on the participant honorably admitting to being hit, and then removing himself from the game, generally yelling "hit" and holding the rifle above his head as he walks off the arena.

Airsoft weapons and ammunition are still largely manufactured in such countries as China, Taiwan, and Japan although SolAirsoft uses American made, hand checked, "Leave Nothing Behind" biodegradeable BioShot BB's.

Equipment

Various replica weapons can be used in Airsoft games from spring-powered pistols to fully automatic electric-powered machine guns. SolAirsoft's rentals are all (AEG) electric weapons powered by our solar array. SolAirsoft uses only the most reliable equipment from top manufacturers such as KWA and Classic Army. See our current selection of rental weapons.

Airsoft vs Paintball

We at SolAirsoft think there is no contest. Airsoft is clearly the winner from low costs to realism. All of SolAirsoft's products come with 500 to 2000 rounds of ammunition but players can buy additional rounds for just $3.00. Most paintball fields charge much more but even if the cost was the same, imagine lugging around 8 pounds of 1000 paintballs vs 200 grams of 1000 Airsoft rounds! Add to that the hassles of CO2 and the expense and bulk of un-realistic looking weaponry and it is no wonder Airsoft is rapidly growing throughout the world.

Who Plays Airsoft?

Today’s Airsoft player typically ranges in age from 10 to 35 years of age. While anyone who is reasonably fit can play; the sport is not for the faint-hearted! Many game scenarios involve extended periods of physical activity from simple crouching in place to sprinting hard and fast to take (or flee from) positions. We at SolAirsoft offer activities for the uninitiated novice to the seasoned veteran. As few as two and upwards of 20 people can play at SolAirsoft and we offer a great location for:

  • Birthday Parties
  • Special Events and Private Parties
  • School Events (Fun and Eco-educational)
  • Team building for corporations and businesses
  • Law Enforcement Training
  • Fun Breaks for Conventions and Tourists
  • Team Competitions
  • Family Reunions (get even with that annoying relative or in-law!)
  • Bachelor Parties (no alcohol, please, but we can get the party started!)

Solar/Eco

Our vision for this business as being an environmentally friendly and eco-conscious one led us to its name: SolAirsoft. One of our largest capital investments, as well as the heart of the business, was the installation of a solar array for 100% of our electrical needs. SolAirsoft is not connected to the electrical grid; the sun is our battery.

Solar Panels
Solar Powered - Our vision could not have been achieved without the financial contribution and technical expertise of Southern View Energy of Gainesville, Ga. They share in our vision of eco-friendly business and are helping everyone move forward with their sun-harnessing technologies.

Batteries
Southern View custom tailored our system for current energy demand and has given us the ability to expand our power production as our business grows. One of our first additions will be a small wind turbine that works in harmony with the solar array, i.e. when it's cloudy or stormy and the solar panels aren't at peak production wind tends to be in abundance.

Biodegradable BBs
"Leave Nothing Behind" - Non-biodegradable ammunition may not be used at SolAirsoft. We have experimented with several brands of biodegradable BB's, including Javelin, Mad Bull, and GoldenBall but have found Bioshot BB's to be faster out of your barrel and higher precision than other leading brands. Bioshot is also the only American based provider of BB's.

Recycling Bins
Recycling bins are provided throughout our facilities and our employees both package and transport the contents directly to a recycling reclamation center.

  • Players are NEVER to shoot opponents not wearing Facemask and any incidents should be reported to a referee immediately
  • Players are NEVER to point a gun at opponents not wearing a facemask and any incidents should be reported to a referee immediately
  • Referee’s Decision is Final! Referees are not looking to enforce honest play. The enforcement of honest play is up to each and every player. Rightly or wrongly, the referees' call is final. His/her responsibility is to oversee the general conduct and safety of the game. Should you disagree with the referee's call or have any other problems, they should be reported to the Manager.
  • Foul language is strictly forbidden. Repeated offences may lead to elimination from the current scenario or from the battlefield. SolAirsoft is a family environment and rude or inappropriate behavior is not encouraged or permitted
  • No Blind shooting. EXAMPLE: If you are on one side of a structure and you think someone may be on the other side, don't stick your gun around the wall and fire without looking as you shoot
  • Observe boundaries. Players found outside the field of play may be eliminated from the battlefield and are subject to dismissal from the premises
  • Those caught not following the prescribed safety measures are subject to removal from the current game or disqualification from further playing that day
  • Players may only use on-field barriers and buildings from ground level. Climbing on top of structures poses a safety risk and is forbidden
  • Do not move anything to create your own cover or bunkers. If you have suggestions, then please let us know
  • Pyrotechnics. Smoke and other pyrotechnic devices are not allowed. These do not include purpose-built airsoft devices which operate using CO2 gas, however, any devices will be inspected before being permitted.

Game Rules:

  • A direct hit on any part of the player's body, clothing, headgear or equipment attached to his/her body constitutes a "kill" or elimination. The only exception will be hits on a player’s gun.
  • Ricochets will not be considered direct hits, intentional, or otherwise. Penetrating shots are those passing through grass, bush, leaves, or thin material used for cover. They are not considered ricochets even if their trajectories may be somewhat deflected. Instead, they are to be considered as direct hits if they make contact with the targets on the other side
  • The Tent is used for eliminated players to retreat to. It allows them to safely remove their full face guard, have a break, a drink, and reload.
  • "Friendly Fire" or a hit from a player's own teammate counts as elimination
  • Hit players are to confirm their elimination by shouting aloud the word(s) DEAD or HIT, and furthermore, should hold their weapon above their head and proceed to the dead zone or respawn
  • Eliminated players must refrain from giving hints, clues, or instructions to other players still active in an on-going game
  • Any player resuming play, or firing a weapon at an opponent while "Faking Elimination" will be considered cheating and be removed from the game
  • If you believe that you have hit an opponent, call for a referee to observe the questionable player
  • No Hostages! Do not restrain players in any way or fashion. No player will be restrained from participating in the game, unless directed by the scenario
  • Deliberately taking cover behind or mixing with "Non-Combatants" in order not to get shot is strictly forbidden. Such action exposes innocent individuals to the unwarranted risk of injury or harm and is therefore not allowed
  • In the rare situation where a Non-Combatant is involved in the field of action, players involved must call for "Check Fire" or "Hold Fire" until such time as the noncombatant(s) have time to move out of the way
  • Physical contact between players is not permitted. This is to include excessive shooting of a player and or a game Referee. If a player is caught shooting a referee on purpose or supposed accident, the offending player will be removed from game play
  • Holding on to an opponent, his/her gun, or equipment (Grappling) is not allowed
  • Point-blank shooting is discouraged. Players who encounter opponents at point-blank range (less than 10 feet away) must first demand their opponents “SURRENDER”. The opponent may choose to not surrender and try to escape, at which point the player is allowed to shoot at point-blank range SEMI AUTO ONLY. There will be no exceptions to this rule. If you are closer than 10 feet to an opponent, you must first give them the opportunity to surrender. Only if they refuse are you authorized to shoot at point-blank range
  • Point-blank shot must never be to an opponent head or neck
  • When inside of a bunker or structure SEMI-AUTO is only permitted as to ensure the safety of the players on the battlefield, as well as the use of “SURRENDER” to ensure that the players on the field do not receive excessive bodily harm.
  • Player should immediately stop shooting at opponents that have signified elimination or surrender. Eliminated players should make sure their elimination is made clearly obvious to avoid getting shot further, or repeatedly
  • Real knives are banned from SolAirsoft Games. DO NOT bring them. You will be asked to return them to your vehicle for the duration of the game
  • Training Knives: Plastic and rubber training knives are allowed during games. Knife Kill: A knife kill is defined as making contact for two seconds with an unsuspecting opponent while holding a training knife
  • No Time Outs will be entertained except in cases of extreme emergency such as serious injury or dispute pertinent to game play. Players must eliminate themselves from the game by holding their gun above their head and walking to the safe area
  • Players with equipment breakdown or shortage of ammunition must exit from the field in order to repair or re-supply and then return back in at their appropriate spawn point
  • The use of radio/electronic communications equipment is allowed during the game but observer spies will not be tolerated
  • Laser use is only permitted by shining or pointing on a player’s body everywhere but the face. Violation will result in a formal warning, then removal from game, and on third offence dismissal for the day
